Dr. Dilusha M Fernando

Dr. Dilusha Fernando is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. Dr. Fernando is the first US patent holder of University of Colombo for the finding of potent anticancer activity of a flavonoid compound isolated from a Sri Lankan mushroom. She possesses 12 years of academic experience in the fields of Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Animal Tissue Culture, Cancer Biology, Natural Product Chemistry and Molecular Biology. Her research interests span in the fields of Anticancer Drug development, Animal Tissue culture, Use of Natural Products against cancer and Pharmacogenetics.
