  Research Fellowship was awarded by International Program in Chemical Sciences (IPICS)Sweden to gain research experience in Molecular biology & Biochemistry at the Biomedical Centre, University of Uppsala, Sweden (September 1991 to June 1992)

  Best Oral Presentation Award

  Best Oral Presentation Award at the 2nd meeting of the European Society for Chlamydia Research in Stockholm, Sweden on 3-5th of September 1992 for the abstract titled characterization of glycoproteins of Chlamydia trachomatis using lectins.
• 1999
  Development of DNA probe for the detection of lymphatic filarial Parasite - Wuchereria bancrofti

  In an international evaluation of all available DNA probes for the detection of W. bancrofti in human blood, jointly conducted by the World Health Organization and New England Biolabs, the DNA probe EMBL3Wb34 designed by her at the initial stages of her PhD work had the highest sensitivity and specificity.
