Professor Preethi Soysa

Professor Preethi Soysa is an Associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. She graduated from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura in 1979.

Her research interests include Abnormal Urinary metabolites in Autism Children, Cytotoxicity and Apoptosis Studies with Tea, Herbal Teas and Aurvedic Drug Preparations and plants, Iron absorption in Different Rice Varieties, Antioxidant activity of plants and biological fluids, Metabolism of Tea Polyphenols, Drug interactions with Food/Herbs using liver slices, Pharmcokinetic analysis of drugs, Paracetamol levels in blood under different setups.
