- Final Year Research project:<\/em><\/strong> Detection of phosphorylation state of Setaria digitata<\/em> novel protein SdNP; This is an individual research project carried out with the aim of analyzing the structural and functional properties of SdNP under the supervision of Dr. Gayathri. N. Silva and Prof. R. S. Dassanayake, Senior Lecturer and Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Colombo. This research is mainly focused on characterization of a bovine filarial parasite Setaria digitata<\/em>, in order to identify and design effective clade specific drugs against a deadly disease called \u2018Elephantiasis\u2019. Phosphorylation ability of SdNP and the oligomerization states were analyzed through this research. This is extremely important as currently no drugs are available against elephantiasis due to evolving drug resistance.Supervisors:<\/em><\/strong> Dr. Gayathri Silva, Prof. R. S.
