The intention was to exploit the CRISPR-Cas9 system to achieve successful KO of pfk2 via mutation induction and HDR and thereby to investigate the effect of CRISPR\/Cas9 mediated modification of pfk2 on uncontrolled cellular proliferation in HepG2 cells. The ultimate goal was to investigate the propriety of pfk2 as a therapeutic target for hepatocellular carcinoma.<strong><em>Supervisors:<\/em><\/strong> Prof. R. S.
