Kavindu Hewa Geeganage is a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Commercial Law. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree with honours from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, in 2017. Subsequently, he completed his Attorneys-at-Law examination at Sri Lanka Law College the same year.<\/p>\n
Beginning his legal career in February 2018, he joined the Chambers of J. C. Weliamuna, President’s Counsel, and was called to the Bar in 2019.<\/p>\n
In March 2022, he joined the academic staff of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. He currently teaches Intellectual Property Law, Law of Contract, Legal Method and Legal Writing, and Company Law.<\/p>\n
His research interests include Intellectual Property Law, Energy Law, Law and Economics, Competition Law, Economic Criminal Law, and Banking Law.<\/p>\n
