Other Activities

  • Participated in the testing of medical students and staff of the Colombo Medical Faculty for COVID 19 RT-PCR at the faculty testing facility.
  • Participated at the Medical Student vaccination for Hepatitis B at the faculty Medical Center.
  • Participated at the Medical Student vaccination programme for COVID 19 Vaccination at the Accident Service, National Hospital of Sri Lanka
  • Organised a donation of Rs. 1.0 million to the Colombo Medical Faculty to purchase COVID Test kits
  • Organised a donation of Rs. 10.0 million to the Ministry of Health, to purchase COVID 19 test kits.
  • Has participated in more than 700 free health camps for the less fortunate around the country and attended to more than 70,000 patients. Some of these health camps were during natural disasters such as the 2014 tsunami and during landslides and floods around the island.
  • He was one of the few doctors who went to Cheddikulam at the start, to attend to the internally displaced people (IDP) in 2009, at the end of the war.
