\u2022 She completed her Doctor of Medicine in Unani\/Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andra Pradesh, Nizamiya Tibbi College, Hyderabad. in 1997 to become the first MD qualified Unani lecturer in the field of Unani Obstetics & Gynaecology in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
\u2022 she is the pioneer who established the unit of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Unani medicine at the Institute of Indigenous Medicine in the year 2000. She was the first head of that unit and served continuous 7 years, concurrently she was a clinical consultant for the National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, Borella.<\/p>\n
\u2022 With exceeding teaching experience of 30 years, she has trained post-graduates\u2019 students in Unani as well as in Ayurveda. During this period, she was appointed to various academic and administration positions.<\/p>\n
\u2022She has served as Girls hostel Sub warden, Student Counsellor, Academic mentor, Coordinator for Post Graduate Studies, Academic Guide to India for Post Graduate students, Head of the Unit of Surgery, Head of the Unit of General Medicine, Head of the Unani Department of study and Head of the Unit of Obstetrics & Gynecology.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
