\u2022 She has done her Postgraduate MD in Moalejat at Govt. Nizamiya Tibbi College, Hyderabad in 1997.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She is presently working as a Senior Lecturer \u2013 Grade 1 at IIM and is a visiting Consultant physician in the National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, Borella since 1998.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She has served as the Head of the Department of Moalejat for 4 \u00bd years, served as an acting Sectional Head for a short period during the Tsunami period in 2004.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Due to a shortage of lecturers, she has conducted lectures and practical in Materia Medica, Pharmacy, Unani general medicine, and Surgery.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Salma has conducted lectures and practical for all 4 batches of postgraduate Diploma in Unani Medicine.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She has supervised 4, M. Phil candidates and 4 PG Diploma candidates<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Salma has served as a member of the Research and Higher Degree Committee for 4 \u00bd years and again as an MD coordinator for 3 years.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She has published 2 books in Unani medicine and 4 books are in progress.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Salma has presented several scientific papers in National and International Seminars.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She has reviewed and evaluated several scientific papers and research projects.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Now Dr. Salma is a member of the Ethical Review Committee. ERC \/ IIM since 2018.<\/p>\n
\u2022 She has contributed as a Unani Pharmacopoea member<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Salma has contributed at the National level as a member of the College and Hospital Board, Member of Soothra Committee, and actively participated in several Unani Medical camps throughout the Island.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Salma has served 27 years at IIM in the University of Colombo and her commitment and dedication to the teaching, research and National level contributions in the field of Unani has enabled her to produce good Unani medical practitioners throughout the island.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
