In addition to contributing her subject expertise in the pharmaceutical field, she also shares her clinical experience as a consultant physician at Borella Ayurveda Hospital. Her Doctorate in Medicine (MD), obtained from the Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhashajya Kalpana at the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar, India, is oriented towards Bronchial Asthma, drug development, preclinical and pharmaceutical research, including shelf-life evaluation.<\/p>\n
She also contributes her expertise in psychological support by serving as a temporary student counselor for three years. With nine years of experience in medical education, she has functioned as a yoga and lifestyle instructor through her role as a Government Ayurveda Community Medical Officer, fostering strong interpersonal skills and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Following the completion of her Doctorate in Medicine (MD), she served for two years as a consultant at the Provincial Ayurveda Production Unit in Pallekele and concurrently operated a specialized respiratory clinic at the Provincial Ayurveda Hospital, Pallekele. She actively disseminates her research-based knowledge to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as to independent scholars beyond the academic setting. Her scholarly contributions include numerous publications in reputed journals, as well as presentations at both national and international conferences, including a keynote address.<\/p>\n
Dr.Senarathne is currently serving as the coordinator for the Diploma in Ayurveda Pharmacy program for the 2024\u20132026 batch and the forthcoming intake, Secretary of the Specialty Board in Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana at the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo and Appointed as a member of the International Collaboration Committee, further extending her engagement in global academic networks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
