\nAbstract
\nUse of cosmetics is considered a common practice in the world today.
\nGlobal social change have changed people\u2019s consumption patterns. Thus,
\ncosmetics are one of the most required commodities among young women
\ntoday. Actually, the use of cosmetics is determined by social and ecological
\nfactors, and they have the potential to directly or indirectly affect people\u2019s
\nhealth. Accordingly, today a large number of young women are suffering
\nfrom various health disorders. The main reason is that they never think
\nabout the cosmetics related side effects because of their positive view of
\nthese products. So this study mainly focused on evaluating the adverse
\neffects of cosmetics. All the primary and secondary data used in this
\nstudy were collected through structured quiz interviews and observations
\nand the data were analysed using qualitative and quantitative methods
\nemploying Excel software.
\nCosmetics usage is more prevalent among young women (96%) studying
\nat the Universities. This study shows that, they apply cosmetics mixed
\nwith chemicals to various body parts such as hair, face, and body, which
\nhave sometimes caused health disorders. The adverse effects observed
\nwere allergic reaction, irritations, wounds, pimples, and skin burning. its\u2019
\ncontinues use has also been found to cause serious health disorders such
\nas cancer and infertility. Similarly, knowledge on green beauty products
\namong university students is insufficient. Further, it has been found that
\nthere is no correlation between the use of cosmetics and the level of
