BIOGRAPHY

Dr. A.H. Mohammed Mawjood entered the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, the University of Colombo in 1979 as an undergraduate and then joined the University as an academic after obtaining Second Class Honours in the upper division for his first degree. Dr. A.H. Mohammed Mawjood obtained his postgraduate research training, Master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Osaka University, Japan.  He serves as s Senior Lecturer Gr. I in the Unani Section, the University of Colombo at present.

He served as Head of the Department of Unani Pharmacology, Head of the Unani Section, Coordinator for M.Phil. Ayurveda and Unani Programmes and Student Counselor.
