BIOGRAPHY

My self Dr. (Mrs) R.L.Y.U. Rathnayaka, Senior Lecturer (Grade II) at Study Unit of Shalya Shalakya, Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. I successfully completed my undergraduate education in year 2007, graduating with BAMS degree securing a first class (honors). I worked as a Temporary Demonstrator in the Department of Basic principle from 2007-2008.I was initially joined the Department of Ayurveda in year 2008,from 2008- 2019 I worked as a community Medical Officer at the Secretarial Division of Pelmadulla in Rathnapura District. In 2014, I joined at Gampaha Wikkramaracchi Ayurveda Institute, University of Kelaniya, Yakkala to follow the MSc degree in Pancakarma, successfully completed in 2019 and degree awarded in 2022. I selected for the Ayush Scholarship (MS- Ayu) which is granted from Indian Government in year 2016 -2019.After completion of MS degree I was join provincial Ayurveda General hospital at Rathnapura as Medical Officer in year 2019. So, I completed total 14 years of service period under Government of Ayurveda Department. Then joined in Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Rajagiriya, as a Senior Lecturer on 01/02/2022. I was actively participated many International and Local Seminars, presented and published many full papers and Abstract at local and International Conferences, Symposium and Journals in the area of Ayurveda. I am life member of the ‘Association of Shalaki’ – India (TAS).
