Prior to his appointment at the University of Colombo, he worked as a Temporary Lecturer at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, and as Assistant Registrar Enlistment at Sri General Kotalawala Defense University, Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: #F3F3F3;margin: 0in 0in 7.5pt 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: #333333\">Dr. Karannagoda obtained B.Sc. Special (Honors) degree in Accounting <span style=\"background: #F3F3F3\">(Minor: Management Information Systems)<\/span> (2008) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management (2013) from the <span style=\"background: #F3F3F3\">Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration,<\/span> and a Master of Public Management (2014) from <span style=\"background: #F3F3F3\">Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration<\/span>. <span style=\"background: #F3F3F3\">He completed his Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the IIC University of Technology, Cambodia, in 2021. Further Dr Karannagoda is a professional in the field of Business Management and completed the professional 1 stage of the Certified Management Accountancy (CMA) in 2008, the Intermediate level of Chartered Accountancy (ICASL) in 2007 and got the title Certified Business Accountant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: #F3F3F3;margin: 0in 0in 7.5pt 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: #333333\">Further, <span style=\"background: #F3F3F3\">he is serving as a resource person for the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), the National Centre for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (NCAS), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka (ICASL). He is a multi-disciplinary researcher in the fields of Education and Library Science. Also, he published two books, \u201cManagement Information Systems\u201d an academic book in 2012, and \u201cPruthuvi Waseenge AnagathSahasaha Thawath Katha\u201d, a science fiction book in 2016. He published his first international book in 2023. Further, He has contributed more than 10 publications (Journal Articles and Conference papers) in Library and Information Science, Financial Management and Management.
