She also has first-class honours in Community Medicine and a second-class upper division honours for Behavioural Sciences. She won <strong>Prof. Dulitha Fernando gold medal for the best performance in Community Medicine in year 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After graduation she served as an intern medical officer (2015-2016) and a relief house officer in Chemical Pathology (2016-2017) at Provincial General Hospital Badulla. Dr. Aruni has started her academic career as a Lecturer in the department of Community Medicine at the end of year 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She has successfully completed the MSc in Community Medicine in the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo in 2020 and was awarded <strong>Dr C. H.
