She graduated from the University of Colombo in 2006 with second-upper Class Honours. Completed her Masters of Philosophy in Wales United Kingdom and the Doctor of Philosophy in Giessen Germany. Further she received special training in Molecular Biology techniques in Harvard Medical School-USA, Moscow University- Russia, Max Planck institute-Marburg Frankfurt \/ Germany.\u00a0\u00a0 Her research interest lays on cancer research, Genetics and Molecular Biology. She has many publications in high impact factor journals.
