Jayawardana is a senior physiotherapist and a physiotherapy educator in Sri Lanka. She holds the position of the Head of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. She worked as a Senior Physiotherapist, Department of Physiotherapy, General Hospital Chillaw for 10 years and former treasurer of Sri Lankan Society of Physiotherapists.
