He obtained his post graduate qualification in Surgery (MD Surgery) in January 2016, ranked first in the order of merit and received both the Virasapillai Gabriel Memorial Gold Medal for General Surgery and Milroy Paul Gold Medal for Clinical Surgery.\u00a0 He obtained the MRCS (England) in July 2016.\u00a0 He received his board certification as a Consultant Vascular and Transplant Surgeon in February 2020 by the University of Colombo.<\/p>\n
He furthered his training by obtaining a masters in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (ChM, Vasc & Endo) from the University of Edinburgh in 2020 and was awarded the James Hogarth Pringle Medal for the top-ranking ChM student for the year 2019-2020.<\/p>\n
He joined the Department of Surgery as a Consultant Vascular and Transplant Surgeon and Senior Lecturer in Surgery in 2021.<\/p>\n

His research interests involve Diabetic limb salvage, reperfusion injury, renal transplantation, minimal access vascular surgery, translational research, telemedicine and clinical education.<\/p>\n
