In 2009 she received the Thailand International Corporation Agency Scholarship to follow the Masters in Science Programme in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Thailand. In 2018 she obtained her PhD from the University of Colombo.
