She also received post-graduate General Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology training at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals, United Kingdom. Currently, Dr Hathagoda works as an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, and she is also a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
