BIOGRAPHY<\/h1>\n[vc_column_text]Dr. Thanuja A. Asurakkody obtained her primary and secondary education from Ananda central college, Elpitiya. She entered into the School of Nursing- Galle, Sri Lanka in 1998 and completed diploma in Nursing in 2001. She started her nursing carrier in National Hospital Sri Lanka in 2001 and experienced in blood bank, Medical and Neurological intensive care units. After completing Diploma in Teaching and Supervision at the Post Basic College of Nursing, she was appointed as a nursing tutor trainee at the school of Nursing Colombo in 2009 and Nursing Tutor Grade l at the school of Nursing, Galle in 2010. She completed the Diploma in Midwifery Theory and Practice and Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing at the Post Basic College of Nursing, Colombo- Sri Lanka in 2008 and 2010 respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She pursued her BSc (Hons) in Nursing and graduated in 2011 at Open University Sri Lanka. She successfully completed diploma in counselling psychology at the university of Colombo with merit pass in 2013. She obtained Diploma in Korean language from Kyunghee University, Seoul in 2014 and obtained her MSc in Nursing from Inje University, Busan, Republic of Korea in 2017 under Korean Government Scholarship Program(KGSP). She continued her Ph.D. and graduated in the research interesting area of Leadership and Management in Nursing at the same university in 2020 under the Inje University scholarship program for international students. Dr. Asurakkody has served as a research assistant and a teaching assistant to the department of nursing, Inje university, republic of Korea while contributing to the publication in the area of nursing education and leadership and management in nursing. Dr. Asuakkody is a member of Sri Lanka Nurses Association (SLNA) – the professional body linked with the International Council of Nursing(ICN) and a Member of Graduate Nurses Foundation of Sri Lanka.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
