Professor Shaman Rajindrajith

Professor Rajindrajith is the Chair Professor of Paediatric in the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a consultant paediatrician with a special interest to gastroenterology and hepatology. And paediatric endoscopy in the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Colombo, Sri Lanka. He worked as the Professor of Paediatrics in the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka from 2017-2018 and was the head of the department in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Kelania during 2015-2017. He has published over 70 scientific papers mostly in international journals. His research interests include epidemiology and pathophysiology of functional gastrointestinal disorders including constipation and functional abdominal pain disorders. In addition, he has also published on gastroenteritis, and inflammatory bowel disease as well. He has delivered over 50 lectures on a variety of gastroenterology topics both nationally and internationally. He has won 10 presidential awards for research in Sri Lanka. Prof. Rajindrajith serves currently in several editorial boards including Indian Journal of Gastroenterlogy, Journal of Neurogastroenterolgy and motility, and World Journal of Hepatology and World Journal of Pediatrics.
