He was called to the Bar in 2018 after graduating with an LL.B (Second Class Honours, Upper Division) from the University of Colombo.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to entering academia, he served as a Legal Research Officer (Judicial Clerk) at the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka and practiced as an Attorney-at-Law.<\/p>\n<p>He holds an LL.M in Criminal Justice Administration from the Open University of Sri Lanka. His postgraduate research examined wrongful prosecution and miscarriages of justice within the Sri Lankan criminal justice system, with particular focus on legal and institutional safeguards.
