Mr Amarasinghe completed his Bachelor of Laws [LL.B] degree with Honours at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo in 2018. In 2019 he joined the Centre for the Study of Human Rights, University of Colombo as a Researcher. Subsequent to joining the Bar in 2020 as an Attorney-at-Law Mr Amarasinghe started his professional career as a junior defense counsel. He completed his first Master of Laws [LL.M] degree in 2021 from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo and his second Master of Laws [LL.M] degree in 2023 from General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University of Sri Lanka with a specialization in International Humanitarian Law.<\/p>\n
Mr Amarasinghe was awarded University Scholarship, Gate Mudliyer Edmond Peiris Prize and Ajita Parathalingam Memorial Prize in 2015. Also, he was awarded the University Colour Insignia in 2016 as a Gold Medalist of the International Student’s Olympic Games 2016. In addition, Mr Amarasinghe is the author of many scholarly academic works published nationally and internationally.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
