Kavindu Hewa Geeganage is a Lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Commercial Law. He completed his Bachelor of Laws Degree with honours at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo in 2017. Thereafter, He completed his Attorneys–at–Law examination at Sri Lanka Law College in 2017.
He commenced his legal career in February 2018 by joining the Chambers of J. C. Weliamuna President’s Counsel. He was called to the Bar in 2019.
In March 2022, he joined the staff of Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. He currently teaches Intellectual Property Law and International Investment Law.
Geeganage’s Research interests are in Traditional Knowledge, Law of Patents, Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection.
