BIOGRAPHY

Sahani Weerasekara is currently working as a lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Allied Sciences, Institute of Indigenous Medicine since 8th of November 2016. She received her primary education from Little Flower Convent, Bandarawela and secondary education from Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo. Sahani Weerasekara entered the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo in 2003 as an undergraduate and obtained 03 first classes and 02 second upper divisions during the 5 years of her academic period. After completion of the internship period, she served the university as a temporary demonstrator for 01year and 03 months and worked as a Government Ayurveda Medical Officer at Ayurveda Central Dispensary, Haliela and Bandaranaike Memorial Ayurveda Research Institute for nearly 2 ½ years
