Dr. B. P. Siriwardena is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agro-Technology at the University of Colombo Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences (UCIARS), University of Colombo. He has been serving at UCIARS since 2014 and holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics.
His teaching and research interests include agricultural entrepreneurship, agricultural economics, technology adoption, distance and blended learning, and sustainable and organic farming. He is actively involved in teaching, research, academic publications, and extension-oriented activities aimed at developing the knowledge and entrepreneurial capacities of students, farmers, and agricultural entrepreneurs.
Through his academic and professional work, Dr. Siriwardena is committed to promoting innovative and sustainable agricultural practices and contributing to the socio-economic development and modernization of Sri Lanka’s agricultural sector.
