BIOGRAPHY

B. S. Bandusekara is a Lecturer (Probationary) at the University of Colombo Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences, Weligatta, Hambantota since March 2021. He completed his BSc. in Agricultural Technology and Management (Hons) degree with second class upper division at the faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and Following his PhD at Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya since 2018. The PhD study is being focused on characterization of endemic Cinnamon species, on its molecular, morphological, and biochemical properties.

He started his career in 2018 as a Research Assistant in Agricultural Biotechnology Centre (AgBC), Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He contributed his service at the same place as a RA at Cinnamon project funded by NES (NFS/SP/CIN/2016/01).
