Dr Sudeshini Hewage graduated from the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo in 2006 with First Class Honors. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Colombo in 2017. She joined the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IBMBB) in 2014 as a lecturer. She completed CTHE and SEDA accreditation for training in higher education in 2016. Her interests are Epigenetics & NASH Cirrhosis with RNA biology.
Currently she is holding positions in IBMBB as Assistant coordinator in Molecular life sciences program, Member of academic committee, member of board of study Molecular life sciences and joint coordinator of Training Course of molecular biological techniques. She has published scientific papers in indexed journals and has received NRC Merit award for scientific publication 2015.
