S.G.N.C Senanayake currently serves as an Assistant Librarian at the Main Library, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Mr. Senanayake obtained B.A. Special (Honours) degree in Geography from the University of Colombo. He worked as a Trainee Scientist at National Building Research Organization in 2017. Immediately after passing out, he joined the Computer Teaching Unit, Faculty of Arts, the University of Colombo as a Computer Instructor from 2017 to 2019. Then, he joined as a Research Assistant at the Department of English, the University of Colombo from 2019 to 2020. He is the developer of the Sri Lankan English Newspaper Corpus. Also, he is working as a Visiting Lecturer for Certificate course in Computer Application, Department of Geography, University of Colombo.
He joined the University of Colombo, Main Library as an Assistant Librarian in November 2020. His current research interests are in the areas of GIS and Remote Sensing, Rural Development, Education, Poverty, Information Systems, and ICT for Development. Currently, he is reading for Master of Information Systems Management (MISM) at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo.
