Madhushan Lankathilake, currently serves as an Assistant Librarian at the Main Library, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Mr. Lankathilake obtained BSc in Forestry and Environmental Sciences special degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Immediate after passing out, he joined the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura as a Demonstrator in 2010. After that he joined National Science Foundation (NSF) as a Research Assistant in 2011 and later as a Scientific Officer in 2013. During his carrier at the NSF he got an opportunity to work with certain National Committees and Research Panels such as NSF National Committee on Ocean and Marine Sciences, Research Panelon Agriculture and Food Science in the capacity of Research Assistant as well as Scientific Officer. Other than that Mr. Lankathilake gained an opportunity to work in National Thematic Research Programme on Food Security, NSF Working Committees on Climate Change and Natural Disasters and Ocean and Marine Resources as a Scientific Officer and also to coordinate the activities of the NSF-UNESCO Participation Programme on Awareness creation on water resources management among farmer community.
He joined University of Colombo, Main Library as an Assistant Librarian on April 2017. His current research focus is on investigating the library user requirements special reference to the visually impaired undergraduates.
