Abhirame Sivasanthiran, currently serves as a Senior Assistant Librarian Gr. II at the Main Library, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Ms. Sivasanthiran obtained a second class upper division pass in her B.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems (with Distinction) awarded by the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology in 2012.
She joined the Library University of Colombo in April 2014 and completed her Masters degree in the field of Library and Information Science at the National Institute of Library and Information Sciences (NILIS) of the University of Colombo in 2019 with a Distinction. She also received the Prof. Russell Bowden Memorial Award for the best masters student of the NILIS in 2019. Her research interests are in the areas of Mathematics, Information Literacy and Library Automation.
