Senior Lecturer (Transitional)
Mr. Duleepa Lakshman commenced his academic journey at the University of Colombo in 2014 as an undergraduate and has since maintained a continuous affiliation with the institution. After graduating with a specialization in International Business, he joined the university as an academic staff member in the Department of International Business. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Business Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire, united Kingdom. In addition, he is a past finalist of the Association of Accounting Technicians Sri Lanka, reflecting his strong foundation in accounting and finance. Mr. Lakshman currently serves as a Senior Lecturer (Transitional) in the Department of International Business. He is a recipient of the prestigious Adelaide University Research Scholarship and is presently pursuing his PhD in International Business at the Adelaide Business School of the University of Adelaide, Australia. Throughout his academic career, Mr. Lakshman has undertaken numerous leadership and service roles. He has served as Temporary Student Counsellor of the Department of International Business; Department Coordinator of the Enterprise-Based Project; Coordinator of the Business Case Club of the Faculty of Management and Finance; and Board Member of the Management Consultancy Unit of the Faculty of Management and Finance. He has also contributed to university governance and student engagement as a Member of the Arts Council of the University of Colombo, Committee Member of the IT Committee of the Faculty of Management and Finance, Advisor to the Music Circle of the Faculty of Management and Finance, Advisor to the Buddhist Student Association, Senior Treasurer of the Vikings Club of the University of Colombo, and Senior Treasurer of the Music Circle of the University of Colombo. In addition, he has served as President of the Welfare Association of the Faculty of Management and Finance, Co-Chair of the Doctoral Colloquium 2025 of the Faculty of Management and Finance, and Acting Chairman of the Arts Council of the University of Colombo, demonstrating his sustained commitment to academic leadership, student development, and institutional service.
