Dr. Nishani is a Senior Lecturer in Banking and Finance in the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo. She is a member of the faculty’s Ethics Review Committee and also serves as the coordinator of the Executive MBA Program. She is also a member of British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). Dr. Nishani received her PhD in bank corporate governance from Newcastle Business School, UK and MBA in Finance from University of Colombo. She is a fellow of Higher Education Academy in UK and is a SEDA qualified teacher in Higher Education. Dr. Nishani is interested in qualitative research applications in Finance disciplines, particularly on bank corporate governance in developing countries.
