Professor Anuja Abaydeera

Professor Anuja Abayadeera is a Senior Professor in Anaesthesiology,  Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. She is also an Honorary Consultant Anaesthetist of the University Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, National Hospital of Sri Lanka.

Professor Abayadeera graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1990 and obtained the MD in Anaesthesiology from PGIM, University of Colombo in 1996. She has obtained the FRCA (London) and has completed the CTHE (University of Colombo) with SEDA accreditation. She has completed PG cert MedEd from University of Dundee.

Her research interests include outcomes following major abdominal surgery, and kidney transplantation.

She is a member of the Board of study in Anaesthesiology and Board of study in Critical Care of the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. She is an examiner for postgraduate examinations in Anaesthesiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. She is a member of the Editorial boards of the Journal of the PGIM and APICARE journal, Pakistan.
