• 2003
  Silver Jubilee Graduate Scholarship was awarded by the College of Chemical Sciences of the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon in recognition of splendid performance at the Australian National Chemistry Quiz
• 2005
  Travel grant to participate in the conference Physics for Tomorrow, organised by UNESCO, Paris, France 2005. This was awarded due to the scoring the highest marks for Physics in GCE Advanced level examination 2004
