Dr. Kavinda Gunathillaka

Dr. Kavinda Gunathillaka is a psychiatrist with interests in the fields of Psychiatry, Ethics, Medical Education and Health-care provision. Following graduation from Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, he has he worked as a medical officer in multiple hospitals. After entering the training programme for MD-Psychiatry of the Post-graduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, he has worked as a Registrar and Senior Registrar in different healthcare settings. Dr. Gunathillaka joined the Behavioural Sciences Stream of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo in 2014, and has continued to provide teaching input as a Lecturer at the newly established Department of Medical Humanities. He obtained MD-Psychiatry in 2015 and Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2017. He is currently undergoing post-MD training in the UK.
