National health projects

• Lead Coordinator -School Health Component of the Sri Lanka Diabetes and Cardiovascular Initiative (SLDCi), A World Diabetes Foundation funded Multi-partner collaboration 2018-2020
• Lead coordinator of the Chandi Bandi Project for combating childhood obesity in Sri Lanka. Main resource person for “Training the trainer” seminars for Ministry of Education officials including Directors and In-Service advisors representing all provinces of Sri Lanka for nationwide implementation of the “Chandi Bandi” project,  and for semianrs for primary school teachers and parents of Royal College, Colombo and Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo in 2018 and 2019 during the pilot project stage.
• Resource person and Coordinator representing Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists for the “Talk to your Neighbour project” for school children organized by the Sri Lanka College of General Practitioners, 2018
• Participated as invited speaker/ resource person at Diabetes Updates, DENO training programs and Diabetes days organised by the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists/ Sri Lanka Diabetes Federation/ Sri Lanka Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Initiative
