Miss. Ruwandi De Silva started her career as a nursing officer at Teaching Hospital Karapitiya, Sri Lanka. She obtained B.Sc. Nursing Degree from The Open University of Sri Lanka in 2010. She was awarded by a scholarship to study at Kristianstad University, Sweden during her undergraduate period. She completed Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Currently she is reading for PhD. She contributed her service as a visiting clinical instructor of B.Sc Nursing
Degree program at University of Ruhuna. In 2018 she joined The Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo which is the first Faculty of Nursing in Sri Lanka. Her research works were appreciated by several academic sessions. She is specially interested on Oncology nursing & Palliative care. She was trained for Palliative Care at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and Manipal University in India. Currently she works as a Lecturer (Probationary). She gives her contribution to the Palliative Care Centre project in Teaching Hospital Karapitiya, Galle as a volunteer. She is very fond of reading books and traveling.
