BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Thimira Amarasinghe obtained his primary education from H/Saranapala Primary School (1997-2001) and secondary education from Weeraketiya Rajapaksa Central College (2002-2011). He entered University of Peradeniya in 2014 to obtain his bachelor’s degree and earned BSc (Hons) in Nursing degree with a second-class, upper division honours in 2018 from University of Peradeniya. In the same year He joined the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of University of Peradeniya as a demonstrator and severed until 2020. In 2020 he joined Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of University of Peradeniya as a research assistant and worked until 2021. There he engaged in several research projects related to hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Recently he is reading for his MPhil degree on the biochemical changes during pregnancy and its’ association with pregnancy induced hypertension at Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. At present he is working as a lecturer (probationary) attached to Department of Basic sciences and social Science for Nursing, Faculty of Nursing of University of Colombo.
