BIOGRAPHY

Dr. F. Rizka Ihsan, joined the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo (UoC) as a Lecturer in Medical Education in 2019 with interests in soft skills development in healthcare professionals and healthcare management. A medical doctor by profession, she obtained her medical degree from Dow Medical College, Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. She has obtained master’s degrees in Medical Education from the PGIM, UoC and Healthcare Administration, from Asia e University. Additionally, she possesses a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety from UoC, a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the PGIM, UoC and a diploma in child psychology from Wigan & Leigh College, UK.

Dr. Rizka has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented in numerous research forums. Presently, she serves as the Secretary of the College of Medical Educationists, Secretary of Career Guidance Unit of the PGIM and Convener of the National Centre for Continuing Professional Development in Medicine, Sri Lanka Medical Association.

She is a trained pianist, qualifying from Trinity College London and Royal College of Music, she has received training in speech and drama from Trinity College London and performed in several stage plays.
