Darshana Sumanadasa researches in Contract Law and IP Law focusing primarily on the intersection between restraint of trade and protection of trade secrets. He has recently completed his doctoral studies at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Australia.
Darshana is currently attached to the Department of Private and Comparative Law. His teaching interests include Contract Law, IP Law, Legal Method and Jurisprudence.
Before joining the Department of Private and Comparative Law, he was a lecturer at the Department of Legal Studies of the Open University of Sri Lanka and an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Management and Finance of the University of Colombo. He was admitted and enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law of Sri Lanka in 2008.
He is interested in supervising postgraduate students on topics relating to intersection of Contracts and IP.
