BIOGRAPHY

Prineetha Bandaranayake is a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Private and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

She earned her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a Master of Laws with Merit from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka, where her thesis focused on criminal law and criminology. She is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, a Notary Public, and a Commissioner for Oaths.

Before her current position, she was an Academic Coordinator and Temporary Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Legal Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka. She also has experience in legal practice as a junior lawyer and apprentice.

Her research interests are legal education, property law, medical law, and sports law.
