  • One of the outstanding achievements of her academic life is being the chief organizer in “Law Goes Green-2014”, the first environmental day organised by any Sri Lankan university ever. The project was primarily aimed at improving the environment around the Faculty and to inculcate a sense of responsibility and appreciation towards their environment among the undergraduates. Dr. Konasinghe, as the chief organizer of the project was successful in making a collaborative effort with the Central Environmental Authority, environmental non-governmental organizations, academic, non-academic and the entire student population of the Faculty of Law for making an effort to protect and promote the environment of the university.

  • Dr. Konasinghe was invited by the Lok Saba TV to participate in a 1 hour forum discussion, “Insight”, sharing her expertise in analysising the political out come of Sri Lanka’s presidential election held in January 2015 and General Election held in Ausgust, 2015.
  • Delivered a guest lecture under the tile of “By passing the state for its own good: potential NGO contributions in voicing Southern concerns in global environmental governance.”at Jindal Global Law School organised by the JGLS Centre for Human Rights Studies at the Jindal Global University, New Delhi in 12th of August, 2015.
  • Delivered a guest speech on Green imperialism: A legal insight to North-South dimension in global environmental governance at South Asian University, New Delhi on 18th August 2015.
