Selvaraj Puwanitha is a lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Public and International Law of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. She completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. Subsequent to joining the bar in 2017 as an Attorney – at – Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, she joined the Institute for Constitutional Studies, a research institute in the capacity of a research assistant for the project on ‘Mapping and Drafting Provincial Council Statute’ funded by UNDP. She was also practising as an Attorney-at-Law until she employed to the current occupation. Meanwhile, she also conducted lectures in the capacity of a visiting lecturer for the course of “Pearson-BTEC Higher National qualifications in Business” at London School of Business in 2017.
Upon Ms.Selvaraj’s academic duties, she is teaching Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and International Humanitarian Law at the undergraduate level. Meanwhile, she is also teaching law-related subjects for certificate and diploma courses initiated by the University of Colombo.
