• Main proposal writer “Development of the University of Colombo Science & Technology Cell (UCSTEC)”Total grant: Rs. 10 million from Quality and Innovation Grant (QIG), HETC Window 4 - Research Dissemination and Commercialization Projects, Higher Education for the Twenty-First Century (HETC) Project
• The product “Bio clean”: Team leader of the project with Darley Butler where a product was released to the market. It is a collaborative project with Departments of Plant Sciences and Zoology
• Team leader of the project on “Development of natural food colours” for the company Ceylon Cold Stores
• Team member of the project on “Investigation of Sri Lankan algae” a collaborative project with Jeju National University, Korea. Funds from KIOST, Korea
