Dr. Kanishka Senarath is a Lecturer at the Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Colombo. Also, she is conducting lectures as a visiting lecturer for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry specialized students in the Department of Chemistry, University of Colombo. She completed the PhD in 2019 at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Toledo, USA. She has completed the BSc. at the University of Colombo in 2014. Currently engaged in collaborative research related to optogenetic control of GPCR-G protein mediated signaling and cellular signal transduction. Extensively published in peer-reviewed prestigious journals (My NCBI Bibliography) with related expertise in optogenetics. A scientific background coupled with ability to integrate well into a team, work with commitment, organizational skills, and ability to balance several responsibilities simultaneously has enabled to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
