Research Interests

  • Development of subcellular optogenetic tools to interrogate GPCR-G protein mediated cellular signal transduction pathways involved in cellular behaviors at the single cell and subcellular resolution using live cell fluorescence-confocal and total internal reflection imaging.
  • Structure-based protein engineering to generate light sensitive receptors (G protein coupled receptors).
