Dr. Kasun Perera

Dr. Kasun Perera currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management of Finance, University of Colombo. Dr. Perera received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance degree from the University of Colombo with a First-Class Honors, and  he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Colombo while securing three gold medals; Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Award for Highest Marks for The Thesis, Cooperative Wholesale Establishment Award for Contemporary Management and The Sethuraman Chettiar Trust Award for Investment Management. Dr. Perera completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He is interested in exploring asset pricing, capital structure, financial markets, idiosyncratic volatility, climate finance and ESG related research. In addition, he is also a CIMA passed finalist and he holds the certification of teaching in higher education (CTHE – UoC) and SEDA – UK.
