Sandun is a Senior Lecturer (Transitional) affiliated with the Department of International Business, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo. He read for his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration (specialization in International Business) at the University of Colombo. He is a Staff Education Development Association (UK) certified and teacher in Higher Education and is also qualified with the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE), University of Colombo

He teaches in the Bachelor of Business Administration, the Diploma in Human Resource Management (DHRM), the Diploma in Finance, postgraduate diploma programmes and MBA programmes offered by the University of Colombo. Sandun is the Secretary to the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo and is also the Departmental coordinator for the industrial training programme. He is one of the text editors of the Colombo Business Journal and Colombo Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Review, University of Colombo and also, and he is an academic advisor of the Community Development Project (CDP) course offered by the Faculty of Management and Finance, the University of Colombo. Sandun is a personal tutor under the personal tutoring programme and he has also been a temporary student counsellor representing the Department of International Business for two years (2019-2021).

Sandun’s teaching interest has been in the areas of Introduction to International Business, Cross-cultural management, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics Management, Personality Development and Business Communication. His research interests are in the areas of consumer legitimacy of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs), the identity of Multinational Enterprises, International Business cultures, teaching International Business, and Supply chain and logistic issues of MNEs.
